Scenes from this year's Mother's Day + Father's Day:
Mother's Day was breakfast in bed served by adorable wait staff followed by an impromptu hop-in-the-car for a lunch getaway and a little vintage treasure hunting. It was a perfect day spent with the hearts, and I'm still reminiscing about it...

Later it was off to Los Alamos for lunch at the lovely Bell Street Farm...
even the wait there was charming |

Meanwhile, Father's Day went like this...
Lunch at the man's all-time fave restaurant, Brophy Bros...
a tabletop mish mosh of swordfish, cioppino, and bloody marys |
After lunch, it was a quick change and a few hours spent at the beach, timed just right with the California coastal June gloom having burned off...

This year's Father's Day gift is a new one of these to replace the thoroughly beat up one from a Father's Day years ago!
